Abstract: The metaverse can be defined as a set of persistent and shared three-dimensional virtual environments in which users interact in real time through avatars. These avatars act as fundamental mediators of communication and collaboration, influencing the sense of presence and the social dynamics within these digital spaces. However, such interactions may present challenges for individuals with characteristics commonly associated with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a condition marked by patterns of inattention, impulsivity, and, in some cases, hyperactivity, which affect how visual, auditory, and interactive stimuli are perceived and processed. This study aimed to investigate and analyze the perceptions of people with characteristics associated with ADHD regarding the factors that influence avatar-mediated interaction and collaboration in virtual environments. The methodology involved a focus group conducted within an immersive platform, followed by the creation of two distinct virtual environments for a guided visit to a virtual gallery, developed based on the initial findings and evidence from the literature. The qualitative analysis made it possible to identify challenges related to sensory overload, limitations in avatar expressiveness, difficulties in maintaining focus in stimulus-rich spaces, and cognitive demands imposed by navigation and social interaction in these environments. The results provide a set of perceptions that highlight the specific needs of this population, emphasizing factors that directly affect their experience of communication, engagement, and collaboration in the metaverse. These findings reinforce the importance of considering cognitive and sensory demands when designing virtual environments that are more inclusive and better suited to diverse user profiles.

Abstract: Many academic institutions offer different types of services to the academic community through requests, protocols or requirements. Often, the use of these services involves filling out documents by hand, excessively exchanging emails, or accessing confusing systems, with bad usability and few features. At the Institute of Computing at the Federal University of Bahia (IC-UFBA), students, collegiate coordinators and administrative technicians experience similar problems in the process of academic requests. In this sense, this work studies the modeling and development of a context-sensitive Web system to facilitate the realization and follow-up of academic requests by IC-UFBA students. The system also seeks to assist the collegiate bodies of the Institute of Computing and the administrative staff of the IC-UFBA Graduation Service Center (CEAG-IC) in managing these requests, through an administrative panel with different resources. The use of context-sensitive resources allows the system to intelligently support users in carrying out their tasks, without the need to intervene too much in the system to indicate settings and preferences. The development of the system was carried out in different stages, which involve: an exploratory study with research in the literature, survey of perceptions about the current state of the requests process at IC-UFBA and application of a questionnaire to 52 students; prototyping and modeling context-sensitive features; and system implementation. Finally, the system was evaluated with 16 students in a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) class at UFBA. The analysis of the results indicated that the system has good usability and mitigates some of the main problems reported.

Abstract: In security and emergency situations, in order to better guide citizens, it is necessary
for the higher education institution to provide its users with tips on what to do in
a safe and easily accessible way. Emergency situations can be natural or man-made, but
damage can be minimized when instructions are organized and centralized, which is not
always the case. Thus, the objective of this work is to propose a system to guide the
university community on how to act in the face of an incident that they are witnessing
or that they are a victim of and which body they should seek for help. on safety and

research were carried out where interviews were carried out and an online questionnaire
was applied, in order to obtain the types of occurrences, map the guidelines, validate the

Abstract: In the era of the Internet of Things (IoT), the need to monitor devices effectively and in a standardized manner is crucial. This Final Course Project aims to address this demand by exploring the development of an API based on the Redfish standard for the remote monitoring of Raspberry Pi devices, which play a vital role in IoT. The Redfish standard provides a unified framework for device management. This project will investigate the architecture, technical implementation, and integration of the Redfish API into Raspberry Pi devices. The goal is to demonstrate how this approach can optimize remote monitoring of IoT devices, promoting efficiency and automation.
